MAZDA is a company that does things differently. It begins with none other than the rotary engine. But apart from that, the Japanese automaker from Hiroshima rarely follows the crowd when it comes to achieving certain goals. Case in point is the new 2024 Mazda CX-60.
For the past few years, we've kept hearing about the company's plan to become a more upmarket and premium player. In doing so, they also decided to go against the small displacement turbocharged engine tide and instead offer a duo of bigger 3.3-liter straight-six engines. It's a recipe that sounds pretty German as opposed to Japanese, but as the concept of a straight-six is pretty new for the brand, the execution is mostly considered as near-perfect as opposed to being the best.
