(UPDATE) FINANCE Secretary Ralph Recto officially assumed his post on Monday and vowed to continue pushing reforms that would boost government revenues and also benefit consumers.

His predecessor, Benjamin Diokno, expressed confidence in Recto's capability to lead the department, noting that the former legislator had sponsored a number of measures that had helped spur economic growth.
