Economy likely grew faster in Oct-Nov

PHILIPPINE economic growth could have accelerated in the fourth quarter of 2023 given factors such as a better jobs picture, an economist said.

'[W]e should not be surprised at [October-December gross domestic product growth of] 6.0 percent,' University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) senior economist Victor Abola told reporters on the sidelines of an economic briefing last Thursday.
