A FORMER municipal councilor of San Miguel, Bulacan, is facing five counts of cyber libel case while a local businesswoman was slapped with 12 counts of the same case filed by the town's incumbent mayor due to a series of posts and streams on social media.

On Thursday, January 11, Mayor Roderick Tiongson of San Miguel filed cases before the Provincial Prosecutors Office against former municipal councilor Melvin Santos of Barangay Camias, San Miguel, and businesswoman Mary Grace de Leon of Barangay Sta. Rita for violation of Republic Act 10175.
