MANILA, Philippines: Some parts of the country will have isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon or "amihan" and the shear line, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Sunday.

Weather specialist Robert Badrina said that the shear line, where the hot and cold air converge, is affecting the eastern section of Visayas, Caraga Region, Northern Mindanao and Davao Oriental.
