PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday urged the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to serve the Filipino people with kindness, understanding and compassion as he called the agency the "headquarters of war against poverty."
Speaking at the 73rd founding anniversary of the agency in Quezon City, the President described the employees of the DSWD as the "country's social welfare forces" expected to always serve Filipinos with care as they put them out of harm's way.
