Tan steps down as SBMA chief; Aliño picked as replacement

SUBIC BAY FREEPORT: The top official of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) has stepped down from his position after serving only eight months and was replaced by a local businessman on Friday, January 12, 2024.

Jonathan Tan officially announced his resignation as chairman and administrator of SBMA on Friday morning and in the afternoon, Eduardo Aliño took his oath of office as Tan's successor.
