THE peso could strengthen this year once the US Federal Reserve (Fed) begins cutting interest rates, a Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) economist said on Wednesday.
"It seems the peso has the tendency to strengthen when the Fed eases its monetary policy," BPI Senior Economist Emilio Neri said.
