6.7 earthquake jolts Davao Occidental

(UPDATE) A TREMOR which has been lowered to a magnitude of 6.7 from 7.1 roused people from their sleep as it struck Davao Occidental at around 4:48 in the morning.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) also reported that the earthquake had a depth of 94 kilometers and happened some 183 kilometers south east of Balut Island, also in the same province.
