MIC eyed to fund Bicol Express revival

A LAWMAKER at the House of Representatives suggested that the Maharlika Investment Fund (MIF) be used to reconstruct and modernize the Bicol Express railway to kick-start the revival of the Philippines' rail industry.

Bicol Saro Rep. Brian Raymund Yamsuan made the suggestion after the inaugural board meeting last week of the Maharlika Investment Corp. (MIC), the body that governs and manages the MIF.
