KEY interest rates could be lowered by as much as 100 basis points (bps) this year, Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno said on Monday, with monetary authorities matching or even exceeding expected US Federal Reserve rate cuts.

"A 75-basis point cut by the Fed this year could actually be matched by the central bank or it could be even 100 basis points," Diokno said.
