THE country's gross international reserves (GIR) settled at $102.45 billion at the end of December, down slightly from November but substantially higher compared to a year earlier, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) reported late on Friday.
The drop from $102.72 billion a month earlier was said to have been primarily due to national government payments of its foreign currency debt obligations.
