ASF in Negros Occidental under control

BACOLOD CITY: After successfully curbing the African swine fever (ASF) outbreak in the province, the government of Negros Occidental will begin the sentinelling program and restocking its hog population this year.

Dr. Placeda Lemana, the provincial veterinarian, said on Thursday, January 4, that they will follow the protocol laid by the Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) and start the sentinelling program in the first quarter of 2024.
