MANILA, Philippines: The "Linsanity" phenomenon happened more than a decade ago in the National Basketball Association (NBA) when a little known player from Taiwan named Jeremy Lin put on a show and led the New York Knicks to a series of hard-earned victories.
Fast forward some 11 years later, Lin, now 35, still carries with him a magnetic persona as true-blue Filipino basketball-crazy fans came over to watch him lead the visiting New Taipei Kings score an 89-77 win over the Meralco Bolts in the 2023-24 EASL home-and-away tournament at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City last Wednesday, January 3.
