ZAMBOANGA CITY: The Philippine Navy rescued at least 120 passengers from a motor launch off the southern province of Basilan after the vessel's engine malfunctioned while on its way to Zamboanga City.
The vessel, MB Den Russel, which originated from Sulu province, made a distress call on Tuesday, said Rear Admiral Donn Anthony Miraflor, commander of the Naval Forces Western Mindanao (NFWM).
