SEN. Mary Grace Poe urged education officials to plan a "seamless transition" for students who will be affected by the discontinuation of the senior high school program in state universities and colleges (SUCs) and local universities and colleges (LUCs).

"We should not just neglect our [affected] students," Poe said. "There should be an assessment to know if public schools nationwide have the facilities and personnel to accept the expected influx of students."
