(UPDATE) FILIPINO tennis ace Alex Eala has again climbed in the standings of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) on New Year's Day.

From 190th on Christmas Day 2023, the 18-year-old climbed four places to 185th on Jan. 1, 2024, which is a career best.
