THE use of artificial intelligence (AI) has grown exponentially, and it now has the potential to abolish companies and create new industries, Information and Communications Technology Secretary Ivan John Uy said on Tuesday.

'The move toward AI is inevitable, and it is as disruptive as the discovery of fire or the invention of the wheel. It will be a game changer to many, as several companies and industries will disappear and new ones, as well as new jobs, and billionaires will rise from it,' Uy said at a roundtable with The Manila Times.
