OVER 191,000 Filipino households may see discounted rates in their electricity bills following the full implementation of the government's "Lifeline Rate Program," a Department of Energy (DoE) official said on Tuesday.
"The Lifeline Rate [Program] aims to provide assistance to our electricity consumers who we recognized as being part of the marginalized sector," Luningning Baltazar, director at DoE's Electric Power Industry Management Bureau, said in English and Filipino.
