DA, DBP fast-track assistance to rice farmers

THE Department of Agriculture (DA) and the state-owned Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) have partnered to fast-track the distribution of cash assistance to rice farmers.

The DA said on Tuesday that out of 2.38 million targeted farmer-beneficiaries, only 499,381 were enlisted, and 44,719 were able to receive cash assistance from the collection of rice tariffs as of Dec. 27, 2023.
