Women seafarers face 15 pain points at sea

AMONG the many difficulties facing women in the seafaring profession, sexual abuse or harassment could be the most vicious, and unfortunately, it persists because it is grossly underreported.

This is one of the 15 pain points identified for why, despite the fact that more than half of the world's population are women, their share in the seafaring profession remains negligible.
