Bacolod's redistricting bill is 'not dead'

BACOLOD CITY: The proposed redistricting of Bacolod City is pending with the House Committee on Local Government as it awaits the comments from concerned government agencies, Negros Occidental Sixth District Rep. Mercedes Alvarez-Lansang said Thursday.

The reaction of Lansang, who is also the chairman of the committee, came amid rumors that the bill filed by Bacolod Rep. Greg Gasataya was shot down because of lack of budget.
