DESPITE the threats and provocations in the West Philippine Sea (WPS) this year, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) will continue to aspire for a more peaceful, more rules-based maritime environment for the coming 2024 and will keep on cultivating partnerships with as many nations as it possibly can.
PCG Commandant Admiral Ronnie Gil Gavan affirmed this desire on Friday as he reported last year's accomplishments of the oldest and only humanitarian armed service in the Philippines.
