(UPDATE) CIVIL rights group LGBT Pilipinas lauded President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for being the first Philippine leader to issue an executive order (EO) creating a special committee further advocating the affairs and rights of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Marcos issued EO 51 which reinforces the country's Diversity and Inclusion Program, reconstitutes the Inter-Agency Committee on Diversity and Inclusion, and creates the special committee on LGBTQIA+ affairs.
