Easterlies bring scattered rain in Visayas, Mindanao

MANILA, Philippines: THE easterlies – winds coming from the east that pass through the Pacific Ocean and bring warm and humid weather – are affecting Visayas and Mindanao where scattered rain showers may prevail in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Tuesday.

Luzon including Metro Manila will continue to have fair weather but isolated downpours and thunderstorms are likely due to the northeast monsoon or 'amihan.'
