MANILA, Philippines: The Bureau of Immigration (BI) sees a "major surge" in passenger arrivals with some 1,5 million visitors expected in the country during the Christmas holiday as international travel continues to gain momentum..
:"We foresee a major surge in passenger arrivals and departures during the Christmas holiday because of the opening of borders that enabled the travel and tourism industry to quickly recover and continue to rebound from the negative impact of the pandemic," said Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco, in a statement, on Saturday.
