THE Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) plans to install 15,000 internet access points in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDA) by the end of this year.

The number will exceed the department's earlier target of 13,000 sites, DICT spokesman Renato Paraiso said at a briefing on Thursday.
