Some PH politicians accused of 'poisoning' Manila-Beijing ties

MANILA, Philippines: The Chinese Embassy in Manila has accused some Filipino politicians of 'poisoning the atmosphere' of China-Philippines relations which undermined efforts to settle their maritime conflict through dialogue.

The embassy also described as 'false and baseless' the allegation that China is funding some Filipinos to destabilize the Philippine government amid their territorial dispute in the South China Sea.
