Palace official takes blame for 'fake' half-day holiday announcement

MANILA, Philippines: Presidential Adviser for Strategic Communications Cesar Chavez said he will 'take responsibility' for posting an announcement which he did not vet.

It was Chavez who first posted a purported proclamation coming from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announcing Friday, December 22, as 'half day' to allow commuters to go home early for the holidays.
