PCAFI urges halt to chicken imports

PCAFI President Danilo Fausto said that imported chicken has also caused local poultry growers to stop their production.

'Properly calibrate or stop altogether the importation of chicken. Because of importation, farmgate prices of chicken have gone below break-even cost,' Fausto said in a memorandum submitted to the Department of Agriculture (DA).
