Lawmaker pushes Gastpe expansion

PASIG City Lone District Rep. Roman Romulo stressed the importance of a partnership between public and private schools through the expansion of a government program that will help improve the country's education standing.

In a briefing on Tuesday, the House Committee on Basic Education and Culture chairman said the proposed expansion of the Government Assistance to Students and Teachers in Private Education (Gastpe) program will help decongest public schools.
