Peso falls, touches P56:$1; bourse rallies to 6,500 level

THE peso fell further on Tuesday, but the stock market rallied to return to the 6,500 level.

The currency, which at one point touched P56 to the dollar, pared the day's loss to eight centavos for a P55.95:$1 close.
