THE Department Agriculture (DA) has reimposed the temporary ban on the importation of poultry products originating from the Iowa in the United States following outbreaks of the avian influenza or bird flu in the state.
A memorandum order issued and signed by Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. imposes a ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds, and their products, including poultry meat, day-old chicks, eggs and semen from Iowa.
