Tropical Depression Kabayan gains strength, Signal No. 2 up in Mindanao

MANILA, Philippines: Tropical Depression Kabayan has gained strength, prompting the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) to place some areas in Mindanao under Signal No. 2.

'Kabayan' had maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph. It was moving west-northwest at 15 kph.
