DepEd vows to resolve workers' GSIS concerns

THE Department of Education (DepEd) on Saturday said that it is working to resolve the issue of unremitted premiums and contributions of teachers and non-teaching personnel to the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS).

The DepEd issued the statement following a Commission on Audit (CoA) report saying that around P4.47 billion worth of premium contributions and loan amortizations deducted from salaries of teachers and non-teaching personnel remain unremitted to the GSIS as of Dec. 31, 2022.
