Press watchdog denounces media curbs in Guinea

Dakar, Senegal: An international media watchdog on Thursday urged Guinea's military-led authorities to lift restrictive measures against some of the country's privately-owned media, condemning 'attacks on press freedom on a considerable scale'.

After coming to power in a coup in 2021, the military rulers pledged to respect press freedom, Reporters Without Borders (RSF) said in a press release.
