COP28 concluded with a global deal to phase out fossil fuel as a power source. Climate Change Commission of the Philippines Chief Albert P. Dela Cruz says that their agency aims to strictly enforce this in the country both in the public and private sectors. He adds that there is no specific alternative renewable energy that the government is leaning toward as it will depend on the natural topography of the areas.
