THE Move As One Coalition stands in solidarity with commuters and transport workers to oppose the unreasonable consolidation deadline for transport operators of Dec. 31, 2023 under the Government's Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP).

While consolidation, vehicle upgrading, business model reform and service quality improvements are desirable objectives, adequate financing, extensive capacity-building of transport cooperatives, attractive incentives, clear rules, safeguards for those affected, regular consultations, and effective communication of how participants will benefit and achieve financial viability remain insufficient or absent.
