There's no doubt that Meralco's 97-88 overtime win against Japan B.League defending champion Ryukyu in their 2023-24 East Asia Super League (EASL) boosts not just the team's confidence, but the Bolts' playoff chances as well.
After back-to-back losses to open the tournament, the Bolts leaned on the heads up plays of American import Zach Lofton and local wingman Chris Newsome to pull off the win in Macau on Wednesday, December 13, to avenge their loss against the Golden Kings in Okinawa last November.
