(UPDATE) INTERNATIONAL Master (IM) Daniel Quizon of the Philippines topped the open division of the Eastern Asia Juniors and Girls Chess Championship 2023 that ended on Friday, December 8, at the Sabah Oriental Hotel in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia.
The 19-year-old Quizon finished the 9-round open standard tournament with 7.5 points, the same output as FIDE Master (FM) Munkhdalai Amilal of Mongolia.
