Waiting time at doctors' clinics

OVER too many years, I have heard people who are ill complain of the time they have to wait in doctors' offices before they are attended to. This despite appointments given beforehand, reminders sent by doctors' assistants urging patients to be on time and in general appointments given way after the date requested.

So, our doctors are extremely busy. They have assistants who also feel extremely busy. The end result is that those most seriously affected are the patients, and they are the sick ones who are made to wait until these busy personnel can attend to them.
