MANILA, Philippines: A lawmaker lauded President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. for being the driving force behind a stronger economy as the country's employment rate rose to 95.8 percent, the highest in 18 years.
The 2023 Labor Force Survey of the Philippine Statistics Authority showed that the employment rate in October hit 95.8 percent, while the unemployment rate declined to 4.2 percent.
