RESIDENTS of San Miguel town in Bulacan province have sent their appeal to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and other government agencies, particularly the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), to stop the quarrying activities in Biak-na-Bato.

Mary Grace de Leon, an environmentalist and resident of Barangay Sta. Rita Matanda in this town, claimed that illegal quarrying is being carried out indiscriminately in Biak-na-Bato.
