THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has assured all the local government units (LGUs) in Surigao del Sur and the families affected by the earthquake will receive all the necessary assistance from the government.
DSWD Secretary Rexlon "Rex" Gatchalian made the assurance during his visit to the province on Monday, December 4, to evaluate the damage caused by last Saturday's magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck areas of Mindanao.
