MANILA, Philippines: Puwersa ng Bayaning Atleta Partylist Rep. Margarita Nograles of the House of Representatives filed a resolution urging the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) to suspend the operations of Sonshine Media Network International (SMNI) for allegedly violating the terms and conditions of its franchise.

The proposed resolution stated that as one of its responsibilities under Republic Act 11422, which extended its franchise for another 25 years, SMNI is mandated not to use its facilities for deliberate dissemination of false information.
