DTI: PH, UAE agree to start partnership negotiations

THE Philippines and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have agreed to negotiate an economic partnership that could be finalized in two years, a senior Trade department official said on Monday.

Terms of reference for a comprehensive economic partnership agreement (CEPA) were signed last Saturday by Trade Secretary Alfredo Pascual and Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoud on December 2 in Dubai, Trade Undersecretary Allan Gepty told reporters.
