Iloilo Grain Complex says NGCP at fault for interconnection delay

THE Iloilo Grain Complex Corp. (IGCC) said that the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) should blame itself for the delay in the construction of its proposed 138-kiloVolt (kV) Panay-Guimaras Interconnection Project.

IGCC spokesman Toby Tañada said that blaming the restraining order (TRO) issued by the Supreme Court for the snag in NGCP's transmission project is a lame excuse for the power grid operator's failure to follow expropriation rules and secure necessary permits from the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).
