MANILA, Philippines: The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has been placed on heightened alert following the explosion at the Mindanao State University in Marawi City on Sunday morning.
PCG Commandant Admiral Ronnie Gil Gavan said in a statement that he placed all PCG districts on heightened alert and ordered proactive measures be carried out, including intensified intelligence, pre-departure inspections of all ships, K-9 inspections, designation of sea marshalls and coastal security patrols and collaborative operations.
