Perpetual Help rules NCAA chess

LED by its top board player Genesis Borromeo, University of Perpetual Help Dalta System defeated San Beda University, 3-1, in the finals to claim the seniors championship in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Season 99 chess tournament on Thursday, November 30, at the St. Thomas Building of Letran College in Intramuros, Manila.

Prior to this, the Las Piñas-based woodpushers were the league's last over-the board chess champions in Season 95.
