ILOILO CITY: At least 149 human trafficking cases have been filed in various courts across Western Visayas since 2003, the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking of the Department of Justice in Western Visayas (IACAT-6) reported on Wednesday, November 29.

During a media forum on human trafficking awareness and child-sensitive reporting, IACAT-6 noted that the highest trafficking in persons (TIP) cases were in prostitution with 67, sexual exploitation with 32, and forced labor with 21 cases.
